Guidelines for Mentoring
Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Professionals
The Mentor’s Guidelines for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Workers have been developed to provide guidance for individuals and organisations involved in the implementation and delivery of PEPA placements and workshops for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health professionals to enable them to work within local cultural practices and protocols.
The Mentor’s Guidelines for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Workers are underpinned by the principles of a Cultural Respect Framework for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health 2004-2009*.
Local artwork has been added for the covers of the Northern Territory and Victorian guides but the content is identical to the national Mentor’s Guidelines.
