Aboriginal Health Workers Workshop

Wednesday 23 May 2012 This one day workshop is designed to build knowledge and skills to provide palliative and supportive care for individuals and their families dealing with chronic or advanced illness. The workshop will focus on the palliative approach, symptom management, spirituality and loss and grief. Broome WA

TARGET GROUP: Aboriginal & Torres Strait Health Workers, Liaison Officers, Interpreter or Health Workers that care for Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander people.

 

PRESENTERS: Joylene Koolmatrie is a descendant of the Ngarrindjeri and Kayteye people in South Australia. She is now based in Perth, and works primarily with Aboriginal people delivering psychological services in the area of loss, grief and trauma.
